Caple Purity is simply a brand name. The thing to bear in mind is that the great majority of these water filters are basically the same.
They are made with Granular Activated Carbon - which simply, is burnt coconut shell that has been treated and is then pressed into a plastic tube - your filter cartridge.
Apart from a different label, and possibly some very minor variations in shape, these water filters are interchangeable.
You don't need to worry about who has made it. If your light bulb is branded you can easily replace it with another brand.
You simply want to make sure it fits your light socket.
Anti-Scale Version
Please note this filter does not remove scale. If you are in a limescale area and want the anti-scale version of this filter please click here
How Easy is it to Change the Filter?
This is very simple. Full and easy fitting instructions are supplied.
Basically, all you do basically is take the tubing out of your old filter and push them into your new one.

Our cartridges fit the standard Caple Purity tube size ie 3/8ths of an inch - ie 9.6 mm - outside diameter).
We also supply free tube adapters in case your tubing is different to the usual Capel Purity size.
If you need a different size simply call us and we'll sort it out for you quickly and at no extra cost.
Plus, as we said, if you don't like what you get simply send it back for a full refund.
Renewing Your filter in the Future
Your filter cartridge will need changing every 6 months.
The price of replacement cartridges varies depending on sales and so on. We guarantee you will get a special "customer loyalty rate" of at least the price you pay today.

This is a great filter and usually does what most people in the UK need. Its performance is the same as the old Caple Puriti.
However, if you want to remove a specific contaminant, and cannot see it in the table above - for example fluoride, hormones, heavy metals, and so on - then you probably need a Reverse Osmosis unit.
But please note that good quality Reverse Osmosis filters are expensive and are ofter "overkill" for what most UK customers need.
Usually all you need for filtering UK tap water is to remove chlorine, like this filter above does perfectly well. Then you've basically got bottle water quality!

Male Inline Connectors The male connection - aka a spigot fits into an adapter on the end of your tubing
This is common for filters like Caple Purity, Stillo, RangeMaster, Bristan Empura and others.
The diameter of the male / spigot part is 3/8th of an inch or 9.6mm. If you have an inline filter with a different size spigot - which is unlikely - don't worry, we can supply adaptors. Simply let us know either before or after you order.
If you are not sure of your exact spigot size you can simply order the filter now and try it out. (It is very likely to fit).
If you have any trouble fitting it we will help you sort out the adapters later. We'll send them out immediately. It really is very simple.
